Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Motor vehicles. Work setting: Courier company. Tasks: Deliver and pick up messages, parcels, and other items by hand. Operate and drive automobiles, vans and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products. Professionalism in customer service. Receive and relay information to central dispatch. Keep a record of items received and delivered. Load and unload goods. Sort packages for delivery. Follow directions and read map. Record trip information such as vehicle mileage, fuel costs and any problems. Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Class 5/5F/G Licence (cars, small trucks and other 2-axle vehicles). Transportation/travel experience: Local. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Tight deadlines. Physically demanding. Handling heavy loads. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
