Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Operate finishing machines to grind, drill, sand, bevel, decorate, wash or polish glass or glass products. Set up and adjust glass and glass product finishing machines. Visually inspect products for quality. Cut glass along marked outlines or around pattern using hand tools. Examine and mark defective glass to obtain the best cut. Place pattern on or under glass for cutting. Smooth rough edges using belt sander or smoothing wheels. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Public transportation is available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Standing for extended periods. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Team player.
