Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. Noisy. Dusty. Work setting: Various locations. Construction site. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Mix, pour and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt. Help medical examiner in charge. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Clean and pile salvaged materials. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Other benefits: Free parking available. Transportation provided by employer. Support for newcomers and refugees: Assists with immediate settlement needs of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: housing, transportation, storage, childcare, winter clothing, etc.). Supports social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees (for example: facilitating access to community resources, language training, skills training, etc.). Recruits newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster (for example: Ukraine, Afghanistan, etc.) . Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition. Offers mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees . Support for youths: Offers on-the-job training tailored to youths. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youths. Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youths. Support for Veterans: Recruits Veterans and other candidates with military experience through targeted hiring initiatives (for example: job fairs, outreach programs etc.) . Support for Indigenous people: Develops and maintains relationships with indigenous communities, indigenous-owned businesses and organizations .
