Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Ensure that systems and equipment are operating efficiently and that proper maintenance and repairs are performed. Recommend personnel actions such as hiring and promotions. Establish work schedules. Prepare production and other reports. Set up machines and equipment. Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers. Monitor safety conditions. Requisition or order materials, equipment and supplies. Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity. Train staff/workers in job duties, safety procedures and company policies. Supervision: 3-4 people. Labourers in wood, pulp and paper processing. Other wood processing machine operators. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Repetitive tasks. Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Personal suitability: Judgement. Reliability. Team player.
