Education: College/CEGEP. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Purchase general and specialized equipment, materials or business services. Consult with suppliers. Review quotations. Establish delivery schedules. Monitor progress of delivery schedules. Contact clients and suppliers to resolve problems. Verify stock availability from current inventories. Unpack goods received. Resolve delivery and other problems with suppliers. Prepare purchase orders. Perform routine clerical duties. Compile inventory reports. Charge or forward invoices to appropriate accounts. Calculate costs of orders. Complete and process international purchase orders. Conduct quality control. Pick up and deliver materials. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Tight deadlines.
