Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Tasks: Inspect operation of instruments and systems. Repair and adjust system components. Complete test and maintenance reports. Remove and replace defective parts. Calibrate components and instruments. Logical approach for troubleshooting. Determine testing and maintenance procedures. Install new measuring instruments. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work. Read and interpret blueprints. Instrument experience: Electronic. Electrical instruments. Mechanical. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Ability to distinguish between colours. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Personal suitability: Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Flexibility. Organized. Team player.
