Employer Job Number: GO-00679354-1 Facility: Radville Marian Health CentreJob Description: Reporting to the Southeast EMS Operations Manager the Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (PCP) is responsible for responding to emergent and non-emergent EMS calls for service; and for providing initial assessment, treatment, stabilization and transport of ill or injured persons at the Basic Life Support level. The PCP will provide care with strict adherence to: Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) core values, policies, and work standards; Saskatchewan College of Paramedics (SCoP) Paramedic Clinical Practice Protocols; The Paramedics Act and SCoP Regulatory and Administrative Bylaws; and The Saskatchewan Ambulance Act and Regulations. Required Qualifications Valid Class 4 drivers licenseBasic Life Support (BLS)Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Paramedics at the PCP/EMT levelInternational Trauma Life Support (ITLS) - BasicCMA Accredited Pre-Hospital Care Program at the Primary Care Paramedic (PCP/EMT) level Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and as a team memberEffective oral and written communication skillsOther Information No guaranteed hoursPreference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.Standard Hours No guaranteed hours. EMS Hours of Work.
