Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Equipment and Machinery Experience: Computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years. Weight Handling: Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs). Work Setting: Manufacture. Specific Skills: Operate and set up machines to perform repetitive machining operations. Clean and maintain work space. Read and interpret blueprints. Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers). Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery. Enter codes specifying speed, feed and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools. Prepare etching solution and immerse metal parts or workpiece into the etching solution to remove unwanted portions. Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Manual dexterity. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Repetitive Machining Operation Experience: Turning. Planing. Drilling. Boring.
