Job details
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Asset languages: Mandarin. Tasks: Handle, restrain and care for animals undergoing treatment and surgery. Assist veterinarian before, during and after surgery. Prepare and administer medications and vaccines under direction of veterinarian. Administer treatments as prescribed by veterinarian. Counsel clients on animal health care. May perform a variety of office management and clerical duties. Provide nursing care and rehabilitation therapy for animals. Perform receptionist duties. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Combination of sitting, standing, walking. Work under pressure. Personal suitability: Accurate. Efficient interpersonal skills. Excellent oral communication. Excellent written communication. Judgement. Organized. Screening questions: Are you available for shift or on-call work?. Are you currently legally able to work in Canada?. Do you currently reside in proximity to the advertised location?. Experience: Will train.
